Tight Ends/Special Teams
A former Washington State University color commentator and standout Cougar linebacker, Pelluer returns to the Washington coaching staff for his second stint this fall as the Huskies' tight ends and special teams coordinator. The former Washington State standout linebacker previously spent the 1996 through 1998 seasons as the UW whip linebackers and safeties coach.
Pelluer returns to Seattle after spending the last two seasons as special teams coordinator and linebackers coach at Arizona. While with the Wildcats, Pelluer coached two-time All-Pac-10 first-team linebacker Lance Briggs, who finished third in the conference in tackles last season.
In three seasons at Washington, Pelluer aided in the development of four players that went on to play in the NFL - safeties Tony Parrish and Hakim Akbar and linebackers John Fiala and Jerry Jensen.
Even aside from his coaching, Pelluer is a familiar name in the Northwest. A 1981 graduate of Washington State, he was a four-year starter at outside linebacker for the Cougars and earned honorable mention All-Pac-10 honors his senior season. He was selected to play in the East-West Shrine Game. He finished his career with 240 tackles, including 180 solo tackles.
Pelluer and his wife, Kimberly, are the parents of three sons, Tyler (16), Cooper (11), Peyton (8) and one daughter, Jordan (14).
