Biography:
Made a brilliant debut for the Cougars in 2003 season opener, gaining 118 yards on nine carries; his 13.1 yards per carry marked the second-highest one-game average in Cougar history. As JUCO player he was art of back-to-back Nor-Cal championship teams at Butte JC in 2000 and 2001. As a freshman there in 2000 he rushed for 876 yards and nine TDs. In 2001 he was named the 27th best JC prospect by JCFootball.com, racking up 1,161 rushing yards and 14 TDs despite playing only nine games. He spent all of 2002 in the classroom. As a prepster at Woodland (Calif.) High, Bruhn rushed for more than 1,800 yards and 20 TDs in both his junior and senior seasons. As a senior he was named league MVP and received All-Metro and all-area honors. He also was an All-Far West pick by both Super Prep Magazine and Prep Star Magazine. He signed with the Cougars at that time but didn't qualify academically.
