| Biography: |
Witherill is a 6-3 shooting guard who committed verbally after his sophomore season to play his college ball at Washington State. An All-State performer who is rated one of the top 15 prep shooting guards in the West. As a junior in 2006-07, he led Saguaro High to a 24-6 record and the Class 4A-I state semifinals. Averaged 25 points per game in the playoffs and more than 21 for he season. As a sophomore at Saguro in 2005-06, he averaged 17.5 points per game, tops on the team, and was third on the club in steals and assists. Transferred to Gilbert High for his senior season and averaged 16.9 points per game.
Witherill burst into the public eye as a freshman in the state playoffs in 2004-05. In a donnybrook with Chaparral High, Witherill scored a game-high 18 points, including a series of clutch baskets down the stretch, to produce a 55-51 win for Saguaro.
He'll be part of WSU's 2008 recruiting class. |
