| Biography: |
A Cougar starting OL in 2006, he took the 2007 season off before returning to the Cougs in 2008, where he'll also be moving to a new position in spring ball -- defensive tackle.
Missed part of the '06 season due to injury but improved significantly as year wore on. No stranger to the weight room, Roof already had an NFL-like 655-pounds squat coming out of high school. At East Valley, Roof was the first freshman to play varsity football in Greater Spokane League history and was an all-state selection as a senior. The three-time All-GSL pick was among the most touted hosses in the West, and one of eight players from the state of Washington to earn The Seattle Times Blue Chip distinction. |
