| Earned first-team all-Pac-10 and honorable mention All-America honors in 2003 with a 90-tackle, seven interception season. Also was on the watch list for the Nagurski Award for national defensive player of the year. The team captain also blocked three punts and forced numerous fumbles. Broke into the starting line up as a cornerback midway through sophomore year of 2001. Moved to free safety in 2002 and starred there, leading team in tackles (86) and scoring three TDs via interception, fumble and block punt returns. Honorable mention all-conference pick.
Also a solid kick return man, averaging 22.2 yards per return over first three seasons. |
