All-purpose Kerry Maddox, who played QB for the first time in his life this past season and led the troops into the playoffs -- the first time in five years for John Tyler High -- has given his verbal commitment to Washington State. The uber-athlete could play early as a true frosh on special teams and defense just as his cousin, hard-hitting Cougar LB Jason Stripling, did this past year.
