WASHINGTON STATE'S recruiting shifts into a new phase this weekend -- the formal hosting of prep and junior college prospects on official campus visits with Cougar football opening in Pullman this Saturday. There are few places that can match the unique charms of the Palouse in the early fall – and the forecast at kickoff is for wall-to-wall sunshine, a slight breeze and 82 degrees.
