THE REAL MEASURE of the 2008-09 Cougar basketball team starts later this week in the Legends Classic, WSU head man Tony Bennett said Tuesday evening after his Cougs extended their record to 4-0 with a 67-41 home court win over Canisius.

Senior Taylor Rochestie pumped in 17 points and freshman Klay Thompson added 15 to lead the Cougar attack.

Rochestie also had 3 assists and 3 steals, while Thompson added 7 rebounds. Daven Harmeling also was in double figures, with 10.

The Cougars now head to Newark, N.J. for the Legends Classic on Friday and Saturday. They'll battle Mississippi State (5-0), Friday at 2:30 PT. Their Saturday opponent will be either Pitt or Texas Tech.
