QUARTERBACKS GENERALLY GO early in the recruiting process -- last year the Cougs received the verbal from Spokane's Connor Halliday in mid-June. One field general with a crimson offer of a full ride is receiving passels of handwritten letters on a regular basis from the entire WSU coaching staff.
