Wulff offers SoCal beef
La Mirada (Calif.) offensive lineman Isaac Luatua, one of Southern California's top big men, is now up to eight offers, with his second SEC offer in the last two weeks in and his second from the Pac-10. According to La Mirada offensive coordinator Armando Rivas, Luatua has been offered by Washington State and Arkansas. On Washington State: "One of my Coaches at La Mirada, Erik Meyer played for the head coach at Washington State, Coach Wulff. Coach Meyer has had nothing but great things to say about the Washington State coaching staff. It's such an exciting time. Washington State already has a verbal commitment from Luatua's teammate, safety Max Gama. Luatua spoke about what all the offers mean. "I understand though that I need to get better every day. Every day I wake up and look in the mirror and challenge myself to out work everybody in the country on that particular day. I can control certain things in my life, effort and toughness are two things that are stressed everyday at La Mirada High School." Luatua helped the Matadores to the CIF-SS title in 2009 and he was named all-CIF. The Razorbacks joined Tennessee in offering Luatua out of the SEC. He also has offers from New Mexico,Boston College, Wyoming and Colorado State. Arkansas: "It's amazing getting these phone calls and offers. Arkansas is an SEC school with great academics. The OL coach has coached a lot of guys that have gone on to the NFL. Distance is not a factor in my decision and I'm open to everybody. The SEC is such an intriguing conference, with great players, great coaches, great fan support."
