NFL Cougar Highlights: Week 16

FORMER COUGAR Brandon Gibson continues to make a positive mark in his rookie NFL season. His five receptions on Sunday included an acrobatic 21-yard touchdown catch—his first taste of the end zone as a professional.

Here's how all of the NFL Cougars performed in week 16 :

Hamza Abdullah, S, Arizona, 6th season:Signed last week by the Cardinals; no stats from their victory over St. Louis.

Husain Abdullah, S, Minnesota, 2nd season: Recorded two solo special teams tackles in Vikings Monday night OT loss to Chicago.

Tyron Brackenridge, CB, Jacksonville, 3rd season: Posted two tackles (one solo) in Jags' fall to New England.

Erik Coleman, S, Atlanta, 6th season: Recorded seven stops (6 solo) in the Falcs' thumping of Buffalo.

Jed Collins, FB, Cleveland, 2nd season :Did not play; assigned to the Browns' practice squad.

Devard Darling, WR, Kansas City, 6th season: Did not play; out for the season with a knee injury.

Eric Frampton, S, Minnesota, 3rd season: Recorded two special teams stops (one solo) in loss to the Bears.

Devin Frischknecht, TE, Green Bay, rookie : Did not play; on injured reserve (knee).

Brandon Gibson, WR, St. Louis, rookie: Scored his first professional touchdown on a 21 yard pass reception in the Rams' loss to Arizona. Caught five passes for 51 yards on the day.

Jason Hanson, K, Detroit, 18th season: The Spokane native was perfect on two field goal attempts (long of 38) in Lions' 20-6 loss to San Fran.

Jerome Harrison, RB, Cleveland, 4th season: Carried the ball 39 times for 148 yards, including a 17 yard TD in the Browns' 23-9 win against Oakland. Also, returned two kickoffs for 39 yards (long of 39). The Ghost has rushed for 434 yards and four touchdowns in the past two games.

Jason Hill, WR, San Francisco, 3rd season: Posted one special teams tackle in 49ers' victory against Detroit.

Rian Lindell, K, Buffalo, 10th season: His 42 yard field goal accounted for the only points for the Bills in their loss to Atlanta.

Rob Meier, DE/DT, Jacksonville, 10th season: Did not play; out for the season with a shoulder injury.

Karl Paymah, CB, Minnesota, 5th season: Declared inactive with a bum knee for the Vikings' OT loss to Chicago on Monday.

Ropati Pitoitua, DE, New York Jets, 1st year: Declared inactive for Jets' defeat of the Counterfeit Colts.

Marcus Trufant, DB, Seattle, 7th season: Posted three tackles (2 solo) in loss to Green Bay. One of the few defenders on the field not to intercept a Matt Hasselbeck pass.
