NFL Cougar Highlights: Week 15
Hard to believe the Ghost came just 15 yards shy of his 2009 rushing totals (301 yards over 11 games) in a single game. Even harder to believe Cleveland coach Eric Mangini has declared him inactive — or simply sat him — more than once this season.
Difficult to tell in all the highlight film if he missed a block, today...Mangini?
Here's how all of the NFL Cougars performed in week 15 :
Husain Abdullah, S, Minnesota, 2nd season: No stats from Vikings loss to Carolina.
Tyron Brackenridge, CB, Jacksonville, 3rd season: No stats from Jags Thursday night fall to the Counterfeit Colts.
Erik Coleman, S, Atlanta, 6th season: Recorded nine tackles (7 solo) in Falcons win against the Jets.
Jed Collins, FB, Cleveland, 2nd season :Did not play; assigned to the Browns' practice squad.
Devard Darling, WR, Kansas City, 6th season: Did not play; out for the season with a knee injury.
Eric Frampton, S, Minnesota, 3rd season: No stats from Vikings fall to the Panthers.
Devin Frischknecht, TE, Green Bay, rookie : Did not play; on injured reserve (knee).
Brandon Gibson, WR, St. Louis, rookie: Fighting an illness for much of the week, Gibson caught just two passes for 26 yards in the Rams loss to Houston.
Jason Hanson, K, Detroit, 18th season: Throughout his 18 year this is likely the closet the Spokane native has come to actually be considered to be in a slump. Hanson has missed a field goal in six out of the past 7 games, but—as we pointed out last week—all of those attempts have been from 45 yards and beyond. His miscue today was from 54 yards out. He did connect on a 37-yard kick and was true on all 3 extra-point tries in the Lions loss to Arizona.
Jerome Harrison, RB, Cleveland, 4th season: The Ghost ran 34 times for 286 yards (8.4 YPG) and 3 touchdowns—including the game winner—in Browns win against the Chiefs; also caught two passes for 12 yards. His TD runs covered 71, 8, and 28 yards.
Jason Hill, WR, San Francisco, 3rd season: No stats from 49ers fall to Philly.
Rian Lindell, K, Buffalo, 10th season: The Vancouver native went wide left on a 56 yard field goal attempt, but was true on a 25-yarder and one PAT in the Bills loss to New England.
Rob Meier, DE/DT, Jacksonville, 10th season: Did not play; out for the season with a shoulder injury.
Karl Paymah, CB, Minnesota, 5th season: Declared inactive with a bum knee and ankle for Vikings loss to Carolina.
Ropati Pitoitua, DE, New York Jets, 1st year: Posted two tackles (one solo) in Jets fall to Atlanta.
Marcus Trufant, DB, Seattle, 7th season: Recorded two solo stops in Seagals' loss to Tampa Bay.
