Hanson hits winner
TWO FORMER COUGARS had big days in the NFL, today. Receiver Brandon Gibson made the most of his first professional start, catching five passes in a losing effort, while Jason Hanson made the deciding kick in the Lions defeat of the beleaguered Browns.
Earlier this week, Washington State alum Hamza Abdullah had a try out with the Baltimore Ravens but was not signed. Abdullah, brother of Minnesota’s Hussain, was cut by Cleveland prior to the start of the 2009 season. He spent all of his first three seasons with Denver before joining the Browns last season.
