RECRUITING IS AN interesting animal. Some college coaches, in competing against another school for a recruit, will sometimes pose the possibility that the other staff is on their way out the door and won't be there next year. As far as Washington State is concerned, any question on that matter was put to rest today by Chris Ball.

Ball, the Cougs' assistant head coach and co-defensive coordinator, when asked, told Ian Furness today that the WSU coaching staff has been told by the powers-that-be that they understand rebuilding takes time.

"The Administration is going to give us time to build this thing, and get it right, and do it the right way, and that's what we're going to do," said Ball.
