WSU TV info, satellite customers out of luck?

Posted Nov 5, 2009

WSU ANNOUNCED TODAY that the Nov. 14 game against UCLA (Dad's Weekend) will be broadcast live on Fox College Sports. This Saturday's game, at Arizona, is also live on Fox's college sports channel. But for Cougar fans who are satellite customers, have their respective sports packs and are unable to attend the games in person, the only option to see both games might be on a delayed basis.

Comcast subscribers look to be in good shape to see both games live. If you have Dish, you're up a creek. If you have DirecTV, the jury is still out.

Fox College Sports is not carried per se by either Dish or DirecTV, regardless of whether you have their sports package or not.

According to FCS some of the games broadcast by FCS do, however, show up on DirecTV only -- though it can also sometimes be a last minute decision.

"Fox College Sports is not carried on Dish....DirecTV often picks up our live exclusive content. We are still waiting for confirmation on DirecTV on whether or not they will be picking up the WSU/Arizona game this weekend," a FCS spokesperson told CF.C today through email.

A quick check of their website shows that Comcast offers a sports package that includes Fox College Sports.

As always, if you have questions on if the live broadcast is available, the best bet is to check directly with your carrier.

Kickoff this Saturday is at 12:30 p.m. The start time for the UCLA game is 2 p.m.

For Dish customers, and potentially DirecTV customers, who are unable to see both games live, there will be a same-day, delayed broadcast.

The delayed broadcast for this week's Arizona game will be on FSN-Northwest and FSN-Arizona at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday night.

The UCLA game on Nov. 14 will be shown on a delayed basis at 7:00 pm by FSN-Northwest (and possibly other FSN regional channels).
