Bland likely done for season

Posted Oct 27, 2009

LOUIS BLAND THIS season has fought through a knee injury suffered back in the spring -- he worked hard enough to get himself ready to play and he was the team's second leading tackler through the first half of the '09 campaign. But a setback in practice last week held him out against Cal this past Saturday, and further tests revealed he is done for the year.

Paul Wulff said moments ago Louis Bland is out for the rest of the season.

"There's a high, high probability that the season is over," Wulff said, adding that Bland will undergo exploratory surgery soon. "He's probably been our best football player on top to bottom on our defense in the last year and a half. ," said Wulff.

Check back a little later on CF.C for a full recap.
