SUMMER SCHOOL certainly paid off for the Washington State volleyball team, ESPN.com writes in a story today. "Not only did the Cougars attend classes, but they also spent valuable hours together on the court and participated in a rigorous strength and conditioning program, all in an effort to master the intricate system of second-year coach Andrew Palileo," the story begins.

The offseason regimen's payoff was evident last weekend when WSU defeated No. 18 Arizona in three sets and came from behind to defeat Arizona State in five. For the complete ESPN story profiling WSU's return to national prominence, CLICK HERE.
