RECRUITING IS often filled with twists, shifts and changes over the course of a year. But for Victor Burnett, who holds double digit offers including a full ride from the Cougs, and is rated the No. 18 middle linebacker prospect in the nation with an eye-popping 182 tackles as a junior, he says Washington State is in it with him for the long haul.

Victor Burnett (6-0, 215), out of Culver City, Calif., has an offer sheet that lists Pac-10 schools aplenty plus others including Oklahoma and Tennessee.
