FUTURE COUGAR GINO SIMONE today was picked one of three “blue chip” college football prospects by the Seattle Times in its annual rating of the top 100 high school seniors across the state. Six other Wazzu verbals earned “red chip” status. The newspaper’s assessments are based largely on interviews with high school coaches. And there's another story all about the Cougs cleaning up in recruiting.

For the full story on how seven of the top 25 recruits that make up The Times' blue and red chips have already committed to the Cougars for next season, click here.

Also be sure to check out the listings for the blue, red and white chips.
