NFL Cougar Highlights: Week 12

Who dat? JASON DAVID dat who!

FOR THE SECOND consecutive week, a Washington State alum stole the show on Monday Night Football. Last week, it was Cleveland running back Jerome Harrison. This week it was New Orleans cornerback Jason David and his two second half interceptions that keynoted the Saints' pasting of the Packers.

Here's how all of the NFL Cougars performed in week twelve:

Hamza Abdullah, S, Cleveland, 4th season :Declared inactive (non-injury) for the Browns' loss to Houston.

Husain Abdullah, S, Minnesota, rookie: Tallied two solo tackles in victory against Jacksonville.

Alex Brink, QB, Houston, rookie: Did not play; assigned to the Texans' practice squad.

Mkristo Bruce, DE, Jacksonville, 2nd season: Did not play; assigned to the Jaguars' practice squad.

Michael Bumpus, WR, Seattle, rookie: Did not play; assigned to the Seahawks' practice squad.

Erik Coleman, S, Atlanta, 5th season : Led all Falcons with nine total tackles—8 solo—in victory against Carolina.

Jed Collins, FB, Chicago, rookie: Did not play; Jedzilla was released from the Bears practice squad on Monday.

Devard Darling, WR, Kansas City, 5th season : Caught two passes for 14 yards in loss to Buffalo.

Jason David, CB, New Orleans, 5th season: Played a huge part in pulling New Orleans away from Green Day on Monday night by intercepting two second half passes. Also posted two solo tackles. Despite still being maligned by many half-witted Saints fans for his subpar 2007 campaign, David is quietly having a pretty decent year in the Big Easy.

Eric Frampton, S, Minnesota, 2nd season : No recorded stats from win against the Jags.

Jason Hanson, K, Detroit, 17th season : Connected on two field goal attempts (long of 40 yards) and two extra points in loss to Tampa Bay. The Spokane native has now kicked 400 successful field goals in his NFL career, just the sixth player to reach that milestone.

Jerome Harrison, RB, Cleveland, 3rd season : Despite nursing a tweaked hamstring, The Ghost carried the ball seven times for 31 yards and caught one pass for another 8 in the Browns' fall to Houston.

Jason Hill, WR, San Francisco, 2nd season: Caught one pass for 22 yards in loss to Cowboys.

Rian Lindell, K, Buffalo, 9th season : Notched 18 points in Bills' shellacking of Kansas City. The Vancouver, Wash. native was perfect on four field goal attempts (long of 39 yards) and 6 extra points.

Rob Meier, DE/DT, Jacksonville, 9th season: Posted two solo tackles in loss to Minnesota.

Karl Paymah, CB, Denver, 4th season : Recorded two solo stops in loss to Oakland. Man, I don't claim this guy anymore.

Ropati Pitoitua, DT, New York Jets, rookie: Did not play; assigned to the Jets' practice squad.

Marcus Trufant, DB, Seattle, 6th season : Notched four solo stops in Seahuskies latest loss.
