NFL Cougar Highlights: Week Eight

Trufant can't deny Hill's first TD

DESPITE THE 49ers' loss to Seattle on Sunday, it was a day Washington State alum Jason Hill won't soon forget. Not only did he catch his first pass of the season, he also snagged his first professional touchdown.

Here's how all of the NFL Cougars performed in week eight:

Hamza Abdullah, S, Cleveland, 4th season: Declared inactive for Browns' win against Jacksonville.

Husain Abdullah, S, Minnesota, rookie: Did not play; bye week.

Alex Brink, QB, Houston, rookie: Did not play; assigned to the Texans' practice squad.

Mkristo Bruce, DE, Jacksonville, 2nd season: Did not play; assigned to the Jaguars' practice squad.

Michael Bumpus, WR, Seattle, rookie: Did not play; assigned to the Seahawks' practice squad.

Erik Coleman, S, Atlanta, 5th season : Posted five solo tackles in loss to Philadelphia.

Devard Darling, WR, Kansas City, 5th season : Caught one pass for 4 yards in loss to the Jets.

Jason David, CB, New Orleans, 5th season: Declared inactive due to an Achilles strain for Saints' win against San Diego.

Eric Frampton, S, Minnesota, 2nd season : Did not play; bye week.

Jason Hanson, K, Detroit, 17th season : The Spokane native was true on one field goal attempt (43 yards) and both PATs in Lions' latest loss. He now needs just 2 points to pass Jan Stenerud for ninth place on the NFL's all-time scoring list.

Jerome Harrison, RB, Cleveland, 3rd season : Carried the ball one time for a buck-in-the-hole and posted one special teams tackle in Browns' defeat of Jacksonville.

Jason Hill, WR, San Francisco, 2nd season: Caught his first pass of the season and his first NFL touchdown in 49ers' loss to Seattle. Finished the day with three catches for 38 yards.

Rian Lindell, K, Buffalo, 9th season : Connected on all three field goal attempts (long of 47) and one PAT in Bills' loss to Miami.

Rob Meier, DE/DT, Jacksonville, 9th season: No stats from Jags' loss to Cleveland.

Karl Paymah, CB, Denver, 4th season : Did not play; bye week.

Ropati Pitoitua, DT, New York Jets, rookie: Did not play; assigned to the Jets' practice squad.

Marcus Trufant, DB, Seattle, 6th season : Notched five solo stops in Seahawks' win against SF.
