NFL Cougar Highlights: Week Seven

FOR THOSE Cougfans looking for something uplifting from Washington State alums in the NFL this weekend, well, there really wasn't a whole lot to get excited about. Unless your thing is the kicking game, in which case Jason Hanson and Rian Lindell came through as consistently as an old scoring streak.

Here's how all of the NFL Cougars performed in week seven:

Hamza Abdullah, S, Cleveland, 4th season :Declared inactive for the Browns' fall to the Redskins.

Husain Abdullah, S, Minnesota, rookie: Tallied two solo tackles in Vikings' fall to Chicago.

Alex Brink, QB, Houston, rookie: Did not play; assigned to the Texans practice squad.

Mkristo Bruce, DE, Jacksonville, 2nd season: Did not play; assigned to practice squad.

Michael Bumpus, WR, Seattle, rookie: Did not play; released from the active roster and resigned to the practice squad last week.

Erik Coleman, S, Atlanta, 5th season : Did not play; bye week.

Jed Collins, FB, Philidelphia, rookie: Did not play; assigned to practice squad.

Devard Darling, WR, Kansas City, 5th season : Caught one pass for 11 yards in loss to Tennessee.

Jason David, CB, New Orleans, 5th season: Posted three solo tackles in loss to Carolina.

Eric Frampton, S, Minnesota, 2nd season : Notched one solo stop in loss to the Bears.

Jason Hanson, K, Detroit, 17th season : The Spokane native was perfect on two field goal attempts, both from 54 yards out, and one PAT. He now needs just 7 points to pass Jan Stenerud for ninth place on the NFL's all-time scoring list. The Pride of Mead High School is a perfect 4 of 4 on FG attempts of 50 yards or longer this season.

Jerome Harrison, RB, Cleveland, 3rd season : Carried the ball three (3?!?) times for 12 yards in loss to DC. Romeo still just doesn't get it.

Jason Hill, WR, San Francisco, 2nd season: The special teams gunner posted one solo stops in the Niners' loss to the Giants. Still no receptions recorded this season.

Rian Lindell, K, Buffalo, 9th season : Missed a 52 yard field goal, but was true on his three other attempts, as well as both PATs, in Bills win against San Diego. Alos posted a solo tackle. The Vancouver native has not missed an extra-point in his pro career and is fifth on the all-time list of consecutive PATs made.

Rob Meier, DE/DT, Jacksonville, 9th season: Did not play; bye week.

Karl Paymah, CB, Denver, 4th season : Posted one solo tackle in Broncs' Monday night loss to Foxsboro.

Ropati Pitoitua, DT, New York Jets, rookie: Did not play; assigned to practice squad.

Marcus Trufant, DB, Seattle, 6th season : Tallied seven solo tackles in loss to Tampa Bay. Recommended Stories
