THE DEPTHS TO WHICH Washington State’s football fortunes have fallen -- and the heights I think the program eventually will attain -- can be summarized in this simple observation: If WSU faced off tomorrow with Paul Wulff’s old club, Eastern Washington, the outcome would be a toss up.
