ONCE AGAIN, CLEVELAND fans got a brief glimpse of the good things that can happen when Jerome Harrison touches the ball and are again left wondering why his number is called so seldom. Former teammate Michael Bumpus made the most of his big league debut, averaging 15 yards on 3 punt returns.

Here’s how all of the NFL Cougars performed in week two:

Hamza Abdullah, S, Denver, 4th season :Oddly enough, Hamza was declared inactive for the Broncos’ controversial win against San Diego.

Husain Abdullah, S, Minnesota, rookie:No stats from Vikings’ loss to Indianapolis.

Mkristo Bruce, DE, Jacksonville, 2nd season:Did not play; assigned to practice squad.

Michael Bumpus, WR, Seattle, rookie: Activated to the roster on Saturday due to a multitude of receiver injuries, Bump caught two passes for 9 yards and returned 3 punts for 45 yards, including a 30 yarder.

Erik Coleman, S, Atlanta, 5th season : Notched three solo tackles and assisted on two in Falcons’ fall to Tampa.

Jed Collins, FB, Philidelphia, rookie: Did not play; assigned to practice squad.

Devard Darling, WR, Kansas City, 5th season : Caught one pass for 10 yards in Chiefs’ loss to Oakland.

Jason David, CB, New Orleans, 5th season: No stats from Saints loss to DC.

Eric Frampton, S, Minnesota, 2nd season : No stats from Vikings’ loss to Counterfeit Colts.

Jason Hanson, K, Detroit, 17th season : Was true on two PATs and 3 field goal attempts---including a long of 53 yards—in Lions’ loss to Green Bay.

Jerome Harrison, RB, Cleveland, 3rd season : "The Ghost" ran the ball just once for two yards, but turned a tightly covered swing pass into a nifty 23 yard gain. Give him the damn ball, Romeo!

Jason Hill, WR, San Francisco, 2nd season: No stats from 49ers win against Seattle.

Rian Lindell, K, Buffalo, 9th season : Was perfect on two extra point and 2 field goal tries (long of 45 yards) in Bills’ defeat of Jacksonville.

Rob Meier, DE/DT, Jacksonville, 9th season: Posted two solo tackles—including a sack—and one assist in Jags’ fall to Buffalo.

Karl Paymah, CB, Denver, 4th season : Tallied three solo tackles in Broncos’ victory over the Chargers.

Ropati Pitoitua, DT, New York Jets, rookie:Did not play; assigned to practice squad.

Marcus Trufant, DB, Seattle, 6th season : Playing with a cast on his injured hand, Tru posted two tackles. He also recovered a fumble deep in 49er that he in turn fumbled, but it was recovered by teammate Craig Terrill and taken in for a Hawk TD.

Cory Withrow, C/G, San Diego, 9th season : Officially released by the Chargers last week.
