MVP showing for Cougs' Spokane target

WASHINGTON STATE TALKED to him about both tight end and the defensive line when they offered a scholarship in the spring. Based on his recent MVP showing at the Cougars' summer camp, Gonzaga Prep standout Travis Long's best position at the college level might just be found down in the trenches cracking helmets.

Long isn't done growing yet. He's only 16 and checks in already at 6-5, 236 pounds. But it sounds like he looked the part of a seasoned defensive end at the Cougs' camp. "We were doing some pass rushing stuff, some one on ones with the offensive linemen and I guess I did pretty well in that from what the coaches said.
