IF JESHUA ANDERSON should qualify for the USA Olympic team in the 400-m hurdles later this month, some have talked about him likely redshirting this year in football since those Olympics overlap with the beginning of the Cougs' fall camp. Anderson, whose rare talents have WSU's football and track coaches beaming, however, might have other ideas.

First, he still needs to make the Olympic squad. Anderson ran the 400 hurdles in 49.41 at the West Regional on May 31, the sixth-fastest collegiate time this year and the second-fastest in WSU history.

Yet he still faces a formidable challenge in an event the USA dominates.
