MOST HIGH SCHOOL football prospects these days can't cite chapter and verse on Ryan Leaf and the 1998 Rose Bowl. And most don't talk about Jack Thompson -- who starred at WSU 30 years ago -- in reverent tones. California's Tate Forcier is different, however. He's also one of the top-rated quarterbacks in this year's class and holds an offer from WSU.
