Jason Hanson, K, Detroit, 16th season : The reigning NFC special teams player of the week accounted for 14 of the Lions’ 44 points in their shellacking of Denver. He was true on all five PATs and 3 field goals (from 43, 53, and 38 yards). His efforts moved his career points total to 1,605, passing former Lion kicker Eddie Murray(1,591) for the eleventh spot on the all time NFL scoring list. The Spokane native is also just the eleventh player to surpass the 1,600 mark in league history. “Yeah, it’s the old-man milestone,” the Spokane native said afterward.

Was perfect on 4 field goals attempts (from 23, 21, 29, and 38 yards) and 3 extra point tries. His first PAT gave him sole possession of the NFL record for consecutive extra points to begin a career. He tied legendary 49er kicker Tommy Davis’ mark of 234 last week.
