AN ONLINE PRE-SALE event for Cougar football home-game, single-game tickets begins Saturday, Aug. 4, beginning at 10 a.m. and extends through the weekend. This pre-sale for single-game tickets is only available through wsucougars.com. Phone and in-person sales at the WSU Athletic Ticket Office will commence two days later at 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 6.
All tickets on sale via WSU's website will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis, and patrons will be offered the best seats available to them at that time, WSU Director of Ticket Sales Dan Meyer said.
"We anticipate our customers will appreciate the ease with which they can purchase their tickets this weekend, and they'll have the tickets in their hands by the following weekend," said Meyer.
Single-game seats available in areas requiring a Priority Seating Donation are exempt from the on-line sale, as are single-game Family Plans in the end zone or handicapped-accessible seating. Seats in those areas of Martin Stadium will be available by phone or in person at the WSU Ticket Office starting Aug. 6 at 10 a.m.
The five-game home schedule includes matchups with a potential top-10 team in UCLA and the first visit to Pullman since 2003 for Oregon State. Meyer said the demand for tickets is expected to be high.
"Season ticket sales are right on pace with last year, when we sold the third-highest total in school history, so it's encouraging to see that the enthusiasm for the upcoming season is strong," says Meyer.
To ensure the best possible seating, WSU is reminding fans that season football tickets are $200 per seat, with great locations still available. Family plans for two adults and two children, or one adult and three children, are $450.
WSU kicks off the season at Martin Stadium against Idaho ($40/ticket), Sept. 15. The Cougars then face Pac-10 foes Arizona State (homecoming, $40), Oct. 6; UCLA ($40), Oct. 27; Stanford ($40), Nov. 10; and Oregon State ($40), Nov. 17.
For tickets to WSU's Cougar Gridiron Classic -- the week before the home opener -- and also for season tickets, call 1-800-GO-COUGS or go online at
wsucougars.com
. Prices range from $7 to $50 for the Sept. 8 game at Qwest.
