KYLE WEAVER
KYLE WEAVER

Posted Mar 15, 2007

WASHINGTON STATE, fueled by the blocking and dunking of senior Ivory Clark, overcame a sluggish first half and turned torrid in the second to defeat Oral Roberts in the first round of the NCAA tournament subregional in Sacramento. The final score was 70-54.

Ivory Clark had 19 points (13 in the second half), five blocks and six rebounds. WSU now will play Saturday against the winner of the Vanderbilt-George Washington game. This is WSU's first tourney win since 1983. The victory ties the school record for wins in a season at 26. We'll be back shortly with complete coverage.
