PULLMAN -- Things looked decidedly dim at defensive end when starting DE Matt Mullennix was lost to a knee injury in fall camp. Proven depth was thin, and the big junior looked to be on the verge of finally being healthy, and making some serious noise once the season started. But after it was clear he wouldn’t be hitting the turf this year, the Cougars looked to Lance Broadus.
