RECRUITING: Doba places call to the Hammer

ACTIVE IN THE RECRUITMENT of offensive lineman Todd Huber out of Rolling Hills, Calif., is WSU head man Bill Doba, who placed a call to the three star prospect last week. Voted a team captain at Palos Verdes Peninsula this season, he's also carrying on the "Hammer" nickname first given to his brother when he was cracking pads in the preps.

Huber's phone has been busy the past few weeks. "Every school that's offered has called since Sept. 1 except for Oregon," said Huber. "I guess Oregon has taken all the linemen they're going to take. There have been a lot of calls." Huber (6-3, 280, 5.0) holds offers from Washington State, Washington, Oregon State, Cal, Stanford, Arizona State, Fresno State, Boise State, Colorado and Ole Miss...
