PULLMAN -- Washington State came out of the locker room primed and never let up, the Cougars methodically dismantling Idaho 56-10 Saturday out on the Palouse. From offense and defense to special teams and beyond, presented in living Technicolor, this exclusive crimson and gray 26-shot pictorial, as seen through the CF.C photo lens.
Michael Bumpus
started the scoring for the Cougs with this 12-yard scamper as Washington State rolled to a 56-10 win over Idaho Saturday in Martin Stadium
Aaron Johnson
's day included quarterback hits and hurries, a forced fumble and caving in the offensive line
The one position where Washington State did not liberally substitute Saturday was on the offensive line. Here,
Sean O'Connor
,
Bobby Byrd
, Josh Duin, Kenny Alfred (not pictured),
Charles Harris
and tight end Cody Boyd (not pictured) plow the road on a successful quarterback sneak for a touchdown by
Alex Brink
Defensive end
Lance Broadus
looks to alter the quarterback's flight path. Broadus' day included one very athletic interception plus a quarterback hit
Dwight Tardy
skated for a game high 92 yards on 15 carries against Idaho
Johnson and
Ropati Pitoitua
each had a strong performance against Idaho, contributing to a stronger inside presence for the Cougs up front this year
Jason Hill
tiptoes along the sideline on this 21-yard reception
Hill's 71-yard catch and run put him in the top ten all-time at Washington State for receptions, moving him past Deron Pointer (112 from 1991-93), and also placed him No. 4 in career receiving yards at WSU, passing Phillip Bobo (1990-92) and C.J. Davis (1988-92). Hill's 2,214 receiving yards are now but 238 behind the great Hugh Campbell's career tally from 1960-62

Receiver

Charles Dillon
saw action as both receiver and punt returner and threw a number of key blocks
Derrell Hutsona
gained 68 yards on nine carries Saturday in Washington State's 56-10 win over Idaho
Linebacker
Scott Davis
logged five tackles, seemingly all of them at key junctures, none bigger than a three yard tackle for loss on a fourth down goal-line stand
True freshman defensive end
Kevin Kooyman
logged his first sack as a Cougar on Saturday in second half action
Linebacker
Andy Mattingly
races downfield on the opening kickoff to drag down the Idaho return man on the 16-yard line. The freshman had three tackles on the afternoon
Kevin McCall
runs to daylight on this 53-yard scoring run to cap the scoring on Saturday
Tardy grinds out some tough yards against Idaho Saturday out on the Palouse
Middle linebacker
Greg Trent
had three tackles and a fumble recovery against Idaho
Williams had four tackles and two pass breakups in his first start as a Cougar
Washington State's defense held Idaho to 303 yards, with 71 of those coming in the final five minutes.
Eric Frampton
had a team high nine tackles for the Cougs
Senior center
Josh Duin
putting his man back on his heels
Bill Doba
takes issue with the officials Saturday in Martin Stadium. The Cougs were flagged by the Pac-10 crew 10 times for 108 yards Saturday after being penalized just twice by SEC referees at Auburn the previous week. Idaho was flagged seven times for 73 hashes
The Cougar Faithful on hand were treated to a dominating Cougar performance from beginning to end
Much like the defense, coordinator Robb Akey was fired up all day long Saturday
Washington State piled up 637 yards of total offense while holding Idaho to 83 yards rushing on 32 carries in the 56-10 victory
