RECRUITING ROUNDUP: Crimson road tracks

PHILLIP THOMAS LANDS COUGAR OFFER

RECRUITING SEASON'S May evaluation period is in full swing, and the Cougars are wasting no time. On Tuesday, two prospects from Bakersfield (Calif.) High received scholarship offers from WSU: Justin Cheadle, one of the top offensive linemen in California, and teammate Phillip Thomas, a 6-1, 180-pound defensive back. And that's just the start of a wide-ranging roundup of recruiting information on tap today.

Cougar secondary coach Kenny Greene recruits from Sacramento to Bakersfield. Besides Washington State, Justin Cheadle also holds offers from Arizona, Colorado and Fresno State. He is a lineman with 4.95 speed in the 40 who can easily add weight to his 6-5, 240-pound frame during his college career.
