Big recruiting weekend on tap for Cougs

WASHINGTON STATE'S recruiting season kicks into overdrive this weekend with at least seven known prospects coming to town on official campus visits -- the first round of Pullman prospecting since before the Christmas break. With Signing Day just two weeks off, Bill Doba and staff look to button things up with the handful of scholies they have remaining.

Here's the rundown on each of the known prospects heading to Washington State this weekend: Robert Schenck, DE/LB/RB San Marcos, Calif., (6-2, 235) A physical player with a boatload of speed. At 205 pounds as a junior, clocked a 10.6 in the 100 yard dash. Now at 235 pounds, "He's a legit 4.4 40 guy," says Mission Hills High coach Chris Hauser.
