ONE HELLUVA CUP!
TRANDON HARVEY

SEATTLE—Led by yet another stellar performance by Washington State Heisman candidate, running back Jerome Harrison, and a stout defensive outing, the Cougars captured the Apple Cup for the second straight year, defeating the University of Washington in a thrilling 26-22 contest.

with just over one minute remaining secured the Cougar victory, as the senior took it down the sidelines to pay-dirt from 38-yards out.
Harrison extended his Pac-10 record for consecutive 100-yard rushing games at 14 with his 207 yard performance today at Husky Stadium in Seattle. Already the Cougar single-season rushing leader, the Kalamazoo, Michigan native, nicknamed “The Ghost,” unofficially closes out the 2005 season with 1,900 ground yards—best in the nation.
WSU reversed a season of late game misfortunes with their last-minute victory, today. Five of their seven losses during the ’05 campaign were by four or fewer points.
The Cougar victory marked the first time since the 1982-83 seasons that WSU has won consecutive Apple Cups.
