THE BUFFALO BILLS improved their playoff chances today, winning for the fifth straight week, thanks in large part to the leg of Cougar great Rian Lindell. The kicker connected on four field goal attempts and was responsible for 15 of the Bills’ 33 points. See how his teammate, Drew Bledsoe, and the rest of the Washington State players in the NFL fared in our weekly roundup.

Drew Bledsoe, QB, Buffalo:. Completed 15 of 30 passes for 183 yards and one TD. Also ran the ball twice for 13 yards in 33-17 victory against Cincy.

Erik Coleman, S, New York Jets: Tallied seven tackles, including one sack for a six yard loss, in 37-14 win against Seattle.

Devard Darling, WR, Baltimore: Did not play: Injured reserve (heel); out for remainder of season.

James Darling, LB, Arizona: Made three solo stops and assisted in another during 31-7 victory against the Rams.

Jason David, CB, Indianapolis: Recorded six tackles and three pass defenses in 20-10 win against Baltimore.

Mark Fields, LB, Carolina: Tallied six tackles—including one sack for a 10 yard loss—and assisted in another stop during 34-31 overtime loss to Atlanta.

Steve Gleason, S, New Orleans: No stats from 21-17 win against Tampa Bay.

Jason Hanson, K, Detroit: Made both field goal attempts (from 23 and 31 yards), but was one of two on extra point attempts, as the snap from center was muffed on his potential game-tying kick in 28-27 loss to Vikings.

Joey Hollenbeck, C, Seattle: Did not play: Practice squad.

Rian Lindell, K, Buffalo: Another big—and perfect—day, as he connected on all three PAT attempts and each of his four FG tries (from 23, 39, 21 and 33 yards ) in 33-17 win against the Bengals.

Rien Long, DT, Tennessee: Notched two sacks for a loss of 13 yards in 40-35 loss to Oakland.

Rob Meier, DE, Jacksonville:Did not play: Injured reserve; out for season with broken fibula.

Raonall Smith, LB, Minnesota: Did not play: Placed on injured reserve; out for remainder of the season due to concussions suffered earlier this season.

Lamont Thompson, S, Tennessee: Notched three solo tackles and defensed one pass in 40-35 loss to the Raiders.

Robbie Tobeck, C, Seattle: Started in 37-14 loss to the Jets.

Marcus Trufant, CB, Seattle: Recorded five tackles and assisted on two more in 37-14 fall to Jets.

Brian Walker, S, Detroit: Did not play: Injured reserve; out for season.

Cory Withrow, C, Minnesota: Started in 28-27 win against the Lions.
