The Ol' Crimson Booster Club
TOM POUNDS on ESPN Gameday
By
Ol' Crimson Boosters

More
THE LEGEND OF OL' CRIMSON, the Washington State flag, continues to grow. Now in it's sixth season of appearing on ESPN's Gameday--regardless of location, the elements, or hostile fans--the Cougar flag is a testament to the unyielding spirit of the Cougar Nation.
Thanks to Ol' Crimson Booster Club founder and president
Tom Pounds
and hundreds of brave Crimson Soldiers, as well as the financial support of Cougar faithful, Ol' Crimson - along with sidekick Ol' White - has captured the attention and admiration of the college football world.
Ol’ Crimson and Ol’ White on
ESPN Gameday
Born from a simple suggestion on the
Cougfan.com
message boards, the Ol' Crimson phenomenon has received national attention from the likes of
USA Today
,
The Sporting News
,
ESPN
, and
Sports Illustrated
, to name just a handful.
As of this writing, Ol' Crimson has appeared on 74 consecutive broadcasts of
ESPN Gameday
and 76 appearances, overall.
TOM AND SYNDIE POUNDS
In order to insure the continuous flying of Ol' Crimson, a non-profit corporation (in the state of Washington)was formed in 2003 for, among other things, the financial support to proudly wave the WSU flag at
ESPN Gameday
sites throughout the nation until the aforementioned show is hosted by Washington State University at or near the environs of Martin Stadium, Pullman, Washington.
Those of you that wish to donate money to the continued cause of seeing Ol' Crimson fly Saturday mornings on
ESPN Gameday
may do so by sending it to:
COACH BABE HOLLINGBERY AND CAPTAIN JOHNNY BLEY
Ol' Crimson Booster Club
P.O. Box 11252
Olympia, WA 98508-1252
Or at
PayPal
with
wsu_ocbc@yahoo.com
The OCBC and the flying of Ol' Crimson are dedicated to the memory of
Johnny Bley
, captain of the 1935 Washington State football team, and
Syndie Pounds
.
One of the greatest tackles ever to line up for the Cougs, Captain Bley was the epitome of Cougar Spirit and was the consummate team player. Syndie, the unsung hero of the OCBC, made the continued flying of Ol' Crimson possible with her love, support, and craftsmanship.
They are the true flag-bearers of Ol'Crimson.
Now more than ever, thanks for your support and GO COUGS!!
The corporate officers are as follows:
President and Director:
Tom S. Pounds
of Albuquerque, NM
Secretary/Treasurer:
John L. Bley
of Olympia
Vice President:
John C. Witter
of Spokane
Federal Tax EIN: 71-0954667
