WSU Recruiting: Cougs get early start on '17

CLASS OF 2017 OFFERS GOING OUT

IT'S COMING AS no surprise for high school juniors, sophomores and even freshman to add scholarship offers in recruiting these days. College coaches are getting out to talent at an early stage. The WSU staff has led this charge of late, recently offering a defensive lineman from American Samoa, a defensive end from Illinois and a speedy athlete from California, all from the class of 2017.

Earlier this week, the Cougs extended a scholarship offer to 6-5, 275-pound defensive tackle Chuck Filiaga. Brandon Smart, of Field House 100, reported the news on his twitter account on Wednesday morning. “Congrats to Chuck Filiaga from American Samoa, now at Vista Murrieta High, on getting an offer from Wash.
