New Coug says one thing decided it

DEONTAY BURNETT verbally committed to Washington State sight unseen. It wasn’t due to a preexisting relationship with a WSU coach or player, nor a familiarity with the area. After doing his research, it really came down to just one thing.

“Washington State throws the ball a lot,” said Deontay Burnett. “That played a big factor in my recruiting.” Burnett, out of Serra High in Gardena, Calif., played in the shadow of two future Pac-12 receivers last year (Adoree Jackson (USC) and Jordan Lasley (UCLA).)
