Kent hot on recruiting trail in California

NAMED CONFERENCE MVP AND ALL-CIF SAN DIEGO SECTION

WASHINGTON STATE IS in California taking a look at a pair of prep guards, according to Scout.com's Josh Gershon. One, a shooting guard, could be one of those proverbial diamond-in-the-rough types. The other, a point guard, was all set to sign with another Pac-12 school in the Northwest back in November.

PG Devin Watson (5-10, 150) out of Oceanside, Calif. verballed to Oregon State last fall and was expected to sign in November. But it fell through. "The Beavers have decided not to sign El Camino High School point guard Devin Watson," the Oregonian reported during the early signing period. No reason was given for OSU's change of heart.
