PRACTICE: True freshman CB runs with the 1s

PULLMAN—The Cougs were back at it in Martin Stadium for a short but energetic practice Sunday. In the hour-plus session, the offense and defense went against the scout teams, WSU worked special teams and concluded things with a friendly game of dodge ball. Mike Leach and LBs coach Ken Wilson discussed the highs and lows of the Auburn game and true freshman CB Daquawn Brown was running with the 1s.

The Cougar D ran against the scout team offense at the outset of practice on Sunday night, with the scout-teamers mimicking USC's pro-style offense. Senior corners Anthony Carpenter and Nolan Washington were not in attendance. Washington went off the field in the second quarter at Auburn and was replaced by Carpenter.
