DECISION DAY IS coming soon for the top-rated offensive lineman from the Gem State this recruiting class, one who holds three Pac-12 offers including one from the Cougs. The 6-5, 275-pound three-star prospect is no stranger to the Washington State program and said he's hoping to visit Pullman one last time before making his college choice.

Matt James out of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho has been hearing from the Washington State staff for quite some time, but he had also been wondering if a crimson offer would come his way. Last week, it did.
"I spoke with Coach Clay McGuire and he said they were excited about being able to offer me," James said. "They had been recruiting me for about a year, but I wasn't sure when they'd offer. I was happy about getting it because when I was growing up, I definitely watched WSU, along with some of the other colleges around here."
James added that he's hoping to make his decision sometime in early August.
Coeur d'Alene is less than two hours away from Pullman and James said he tripped to WSU last summer to participate in a junior day camp. That's when the contact first started and James said he's hoping a return trip to Wazzu is in the near future.
"I'm talking with Coach McGuire about me going to WSU here pretty soon for a visit," James said. "When I was there last summer, I really loved the campus. It's not in a big city, which is pretty nice. They have great academics too and I really like that WSU is pretty close to home."
JAMES, WHO IS being recruited by the Cougs as an offensive tackle, holds offers from WSU, Washington, Arizona State, Boise State, Army, Air Force, Idaho and others. Most of the schools, he said, are recruiting him at tackle.
"I pride myself in working hard and being quick," James said. "In our offense, we have a very fast tempo, so I have to make sure I'm quick off the block."
James' teammate at Coeur d'Alene High, TE Chase Blakley, committed to the Huskies earlier this spring and has been actively recruiting the big hoss.
"He's definitely on me about going to Washington with him," James said with a laugh. "I have a lot of interest in them as well and really like their program."
However, James said he has no favorites at this time and his recruitment is wide open.
"I'm just trying to figure everything out right now," James said. "I haven't narrowed my list down or anything like that. We'll see how everything works out."
