FOUR FUTURE Washington State Cougars were picked, and two will play, Sunday in the West Coast Bowl, a high-school all-star game featuring FBS-bound high school seniors from the West Coast.
The game kicks off at 3:30 p.m. at the Home Depot Center in Carson, just south of Los Angeles. The green team will be coached by Manuel Douglas of Narbonne High in Harbor City, Calif., and the red team by Lincoln High of San Diego coach and former NFL receiver David Dunn.
WSU verbal commits
Gerard Wicks
, a running back from Long Beach Poly, and receiver
River Cracraft
out Santa Margarita, will be playing, though on opposite teams.
Quarterback
Tyler Bruggman
, from Brophy Prep in Phoenix, and Kennedy Catholic/Burien tight end/defensive end
Cole Madison
were picked for the game and listed on the official roster, but neither is actually partaking, according to CF.C photographer Steven Squires, who attended Friday night's practices.

Wicks was named co-CIF Offensive Players of the Year after racking up 1,440 yards on the ground averaging over seven yards per carry. He also caught 16 passes, and handled punting chores (averaging over 40 yards per boot).
Cracraft caught 51 passes for 784 yards 6 TDs this season, and was named Trinity League offensive MVP. Madison, who could project at number of positions in college, was a first-team Class 3A All-State pick at defensive lineman by the Associated Press, and a first-team all-league choice at tight end and DL. He was voted his league's Defensive Interior Lineman of the Year. Splitting time at tight end and guard, he caught eight passes in 2012 for 87 yards and one score.
Bruggman this season guided Brophy to an 11-3 record while throwing for nearly 2,800 yards on 172-for-299 accuracy with 33 touchdowns and 8 interceptions. He was named all-classifications All-State second-team by the Arizona Football Coaches Association.
