MULTIPLE SOURCES CONFIRMED Saturday that former Missouri offensive coordinator David Yost is the newest member of the Washington State football coaching staff.
One source said Yost will coach receivers.
Eric Morris
recently resigned as inside receivers coach to take an unspecified assistant’s job at Texas Tech.
Washington State has yet to confirm the hiring.
Yost resigned last month as Missouri’s offensive coordinator, quarterbacks coach, place-kickers coach and recruiting coordinator. Sources said he had tired of the demands of so many duties.
Missouri often compiled impressive offensive numbers during Yost’s 12 years with the Tigers. He became offensive coordinator in 2009.
Yost, who turns 43 on Jan. 22, is married and the father of three sons. The Carrolton, Ohio, native played college football for one year as a walk-on at Kent State, his alma mater.
The Cougars have yet to announce a replacement for linebackers coach
Jeff Choate
, who left after the season to become an assistant at UTEP.
