ST. LOUIS RECEIVER Brandon Gibson put together another six catch performance on Sunday. Alas, his efforts weren’t enough for the Rams to overcome Minnesota. The Cougar great has caught 12 passes for 176 yards the past two weekends.

Having caught 46 passes for 613 yards and 5 touchdowns thus far this season, Gibson has surpassed—or is seriously threatening—his career best in all receiving categories, which he set in 2010. His five TDs and 13.3 yard-per-catch are personal bests and with two games remaining he needs eight catches and just eight more yards to top his previous highs.

Here’s how the NFL Cougs performed in week 15:

Jed Collins, FB, New Orleans, 4th season: Caught one pass for four yards in the Saints’ 41-0 rout of Tampa Bay. Also made some outstanding lead blocks.

Eric Frampton, S, Dallas, 6th season: Posted two solo tackles (one defense, one special teams) in the Cowboys’ 27-24 overtime victory against Pittsburgh.

Brandon Gibson, WR, St. Louis, 4th season: The Puyallup native caught six passes for 76 yards in the Rams’ 36-22 fall to Minnesota.

Jason Hanson, K, Detroit, 21st season: The Spokane native was connected on a 41-yard field goal attempt and extra-point in the Lions’ 38-10 loss to Arizona. His three-pointer was the 187th of his career from 40 yards and beyond and tied Morten Anderson for the NFL record.

Jerome Harrison, RB, Detroit, 7th season: Did not play; officially listed on the Lions’ reserve/non-football injury list. If you missed the Thanksgiving day special The NFL Today (CBS) aired on Harrison’s road to recovery, you can view it here.

Alex Hoffman-Ellis, LB, San Francisco, rookie: Did not play; assigned to the 49ers’ development squad.

Chris Ivory, RB, New Orleans, 3rd season: Did not play; declared inactive due to hamstring injury.

Rian Lindell, K, Buffalo, 13th season: The Vancouver native was true on two extra-point attempts and a 41-yard field goal in the Bills’ 50-17 fall to Seattle.

Ropati Pitoitua, DE, Kansas City, 4th season: The Tacoma native posted four solo stops in the Chiefs’ 15-0 loss to Oakland.

Marcus Trufant, DB, Seattle, 10th season: Did not play; the Tacoma native was declared inactive (hamstring) for the Seahawks’ victory against Buffalo.

Zack Williams, G, Carolina, 2nd season: Did not play; assigned to Panthers’ development squad.
