"Coach Russell came up to MP and he was talking to my counselor who is also my coach," said Joyner. "I can't meet with coaches yet, but my coach gave me his number and I called them after that. That's when everything happened."
Joyner is an exceptional athlete, and at 5'10" 180lbs could end up play running back, wide receiver, safety or corner at the collegiate level. He talked about where the Cougar coaches see him playing.
"They are offering me at running back," said Joyner.
Joyner now holds offers from both Apple Cup programs and being originally from the South, doesn't have a favorite between the two.
"They are both still options for me," said Joyner. "I don't have to make any choices right now."
Joyner is lifting and running right now, preparing for track this spring and football next fall.
"I am just running and lifting, some at school and some on my own," said Joyner. "I am hearing from some schools, I got a letter from Georgia today."
