Three Washington State verbal commits, linebacker Peyton Pelluer of Skyline, offensive lineman Cody O'Connell of Wenatchee, and defensive end Matt Meyer of Lynden have been chosen first-team All-State by the Tacoma News Tribune.
Said the TNT of Pelluer, "All WSU commit does is stop ball-carriers -- totaling 377 tackles as three-year starter." The paper chose O'Connell as one of its offensive linemen even though he played in just four games this season due to a knee injury. In fact, O'Connell was so dominate in the time he was on the field that Big Nine coaches voted him the league's lineman of the year. The TNT noted that Meyer is "so athletic for his size, can move back and play outside linebacker."
