WSU-Wyoming home and home in 2015 & 2018

HOW' BOUT THEM COWBOYS. Washington State and the University of Wyoming will play a home-and-home football series beginning in 2015, it was announced by both schools Thursday.

The first meeting is scheduled for Sept. 12, 2015 at Martin Stadium.

The return engagement is slated for three seasons later -- Sept. 1, 2018.

"The Wyoming series falls in line with my goal to add quality non-conference opponents for our football program," said WSU Director of Athletics Bill Moos said in a statement. "With future series that include Wisconsin and Boise State, in addition to games against Auburn and BYU, this series will complement our future non-conference schedules."

Wyoming is 0-3 this season with losses to Texas (37-17), Toldeo (34-31) and Cal Poly (24-22). In 2011, Wyoming was 8-5 and played in the New Mexico Bowl for the second time in three years. Over the last five seasons (2007-11) Wyoming is 27-35.

The Cougars lead the all-time series 3-2, with all games contested between 1962 -1990.

The last meeting resulted in a 34-13 win by the Cowboys in 1990 at Martin Stadium. The Cougars own a 2-0 mark when playing in Laramie while 1-2 playing in Pullman.
