Your guide to Cougs' game on Pac-12 Network

Posted Sep 7, 2012

WITH AN EXPECTED sellout for WSU-EWU, and the game being exclusively broadcast on the Pac-12 Network, here are your viewing options if you aren't already going to the game in Martin Stadium -- including a new development on the online side of things.

The majority of this info comes from the Pac-12 Office.

Comcast, Cox, Time Warner or Bright House subscribers will have access to all seven networks on (some) connected devices through TV Everywhere services if they can’t get the game they want on their television.

Comcast just today activated their Xfinity service for the Pac-12 allowing fans to access the seven networks through their computers. They do not yet offer iPad capabilities.

CF.C NOTE: IF YOU ARE A COMCAST CUSTOMER BUT COMCAST IN YOUR AREA DOES NOT CARRY THE PAC-12 NETWORK ON YOUR TV PACKAGE, YOU WILL NOT HAVE ONLINE ACCESS EITHER.

(We know. That's a bitter disappointment for Cougar fans in places like Chicago, Washington DC, and many other markets outside the Pac-12 footprint.)

Cox, Time Warner and Bright House make the networks available on computers and iPads through Pac-12 Now. Several other providers like Frontier Communications, Suddenlink and Bend Broadband will have their Pac-12 Now services available in the next couple of weeks, says the Pac-12.

Here’s how it works. If you’re a Comcast subscriber and you have at least one Pac-12 channel as part of your TV package all seven Pac-12 Networks are available through Comcast’s XfinityTV website. If you subscribe to Bright House, Cox or Time Warner Cable, visit video.pac-12.com and enter your user ID and password for your television provider or download the Pac-12 Now iPad app at the App Store.

Updated: DISH just struck a deal with the Pac-12, see our front page for the story. For DirecTV subscribers, there is still no deal.

There are three games in the 12:00 p.m. window this Saturday: Washington State vs. Eastern Washington, Cal vs. Southern Utah and Colorado vs. Sacramento State.

The Pac-12 Network will show the WSU game on the Washington and Oregon regional networks.

The Colorado game will be on the Mountain regional and Cal will be on the national network and the three other regionals – Bay Area, Los Angeles and Arizona.

At 7:30 p.m., there are two more games on the Pac-12 Network – Arizona vs. Oklahoma State and Stanford vs. Duke. The Stanford game will be on Pac-12 Bay Area, while the Arizona game goes to the national network and the five other regionals.

As they are doing this weekend, the Pac-12 will this season use the flexibility of having seven networks to manage scheduling conflicts when games are on at the same time.
